Gene expression help please
What is the role of regulatory genes in eukaryotes? My textbook doesn’t even mention it but I see it a lot in exam questions where mutation of a regulatory gene has some effect on an organism.
Are they the genes coding for the transcription factors which control what genes are being expressed
And then these transcription factors are then activated by a signalling molecule in post translational gene regulation
Please tell me if this is correct or if I am confused
