IPhone SE (2022) or IPhone 13 mini?

The 13 Mini is a superior phone in almost every way. Vastly superior screen quality, 20% larger screen despite only being a few millimetres taller, double the base storage, better dust/water resistance, more durable glass, significantly better cameras and an additional wide angle kens, 20% larger battery, and faster wireless charging when using magsafe. The inclusion of a fingerprint sensor is the only positive the SE has over it.

if you must waste your money on an Apple phone the 13 mini is consiberably better phone than the SE2022 - which is updated internals in a iphone 6S case

Id say for same price as a SE, you can get a pixel 7a, which is better than the Pixel 7 (7a has a slightly smaller screen and smaller main camera sensor than the 7 but compensates with more megapixels on all 3 cameras, records 4k front and rear video, batterylife with checking whatsapp, slack, youtube, emails is decent (only charged it 3 times so far since last week friday) and generally better than iphone 13 and SE.
But if iOS is a must, then it depends if you (or your parents) are willing to fork out the extra money for the 13 mini
