Carr-Saunders vs Bankside

Hi so I’m considering Carr-Saunders hall as it’s a lot more affordable and makes sense as I already live in London.(I don’t mind moving my stuff every time to save 5k)
However I keep hearing about how social Bankside is and lot of people on my course have chosen Bankside, I’m questioning whether to go with Bankside or CSH…. I’m naturally introverted and need help socialising sometime I think an environment like Bankside would make things easier for me. But I’ve also heard Bankside is too big to find genuine friends 😭 so I really don’t know where to book !!!

Also are the bathrooms reasonably clean in carr-Saunders hall?

Hey! i’m in the same position! i got an offer from LSE and i already live in london so firstly i’m deciding if i should live out or stay at home and commute. i am really introverted so i think living out might be good for me but idk **
i’m thinking between care saunders or international hall which is intercollegiate. which course have you got an offer for?

Law and anthro 🥲 what about you?
I think i will stick with carr-Saunders 😭hopefully the shared bathroom aren’t too bad I just looked on the website and it says they are cleaned daily.

But yeah i questioned moving out for so long but eventually decided to do so for first year atleast.☺️

I’m doing environment & SD!
yeah i think i’ve decided in carr saunders especially because of the location!
I think it’s good to move out especially for the first year! I was worried about the shared bathrooms rooms too but there’s literally none left with en-suites 😭😭

😭every was so quick to snatch the en suite rooms but after looking at the bathrooms displayed I don’t think it’s worth 10k personally.

I agree with living out first year, it would be easier to make friends and possibly move in together in 2nd year at a lower price.🥲🥲
Hopefully we will meet in September!

hey i got an offer and was stuck between the two as well!
I ended up picking carr saunders in the end because it was cheapest and all the rooms at bankside were booked out by the time i checked :frown:

Carrs Saunders

Get a Queen Size bed.

Very close to LSE Campus and other eating places, useful if you’re Asian or love Asian food.

Catered food can’t be that bad surely? So you will save money.

Eligibility for the LSE Accommodation Bursary means you’ll only pay £5,000 and have another £5,000 for exploring London or travel to other cities in Europe.

You have so many wall sockets at Carrs Saunders that you can easily add a mini fridge

The shared bathrooms and toilets should not be a problem, as they are ‘inspected’ every so often and cleaned by a cleaner.

31 week contract means, you could get LSE to store your stuff if you like? Can you?
