SSP (Statutory Sick Pay) in regards to Mental Health
Hello I work at Sainsbury’s and my mental health has taken a toll I have been dealing with personal issues in my private life though for this my employer is refusing to pay me statutory sick pay what do I tell the doctors please on Monday when I have a consultation and how or what do I need to do to be eligible for SSP payment.
Your GP would need to sign you off work and give you a Med 3 form - you would then need to provide this to your employer as evidence you have been signed off medically by your GP. So discuss with your GP when you see them.
