NEA Remark

Hello

I recently got back my NEA mark from my teacher which she gave me 11/70 which i feel was really unfair due to the quality and amount of work i did. Does anyone know if its possible to get it remarked some how? The exam board informed me they dont mark the coursework while the school is telling me the exam board will check it.

With the mark 11/70, its impossible for me to get above a C when looking at the previous grade boundries.

Have you lodged an appeal with the school? That is all you can do for now.

Each board allows this, for example: https://www.aqa.org.uk/exams-administration/coursework-controlled-assessment-nea/submit-marks

My school is terrible and just told me they cant do anything about it. One of my teachers just laughed at me. I have made a report on the https://complaints.ofqual.gov.uk/ and the Pearson website, however I dont think they will take any action regarding it.

Due to the low coursework mark, i wont even be able to get a C without nearly full marks in each paper

If they have not followed the guidance then your parents need to write to Givernors to complain.

When the students receive their provisional marks from the school around Easter, the marks that the school intends to submit to the board, they should also be supplied with the appeals process, should that be required.

The school has to give students a minimum of 5 working days to appeal. That window is your only chance to appeal. The students can request to see their*mark sheets, showing*how the marks were distributed and a dedicated teacher should be available to assist them in explaining those marks. If the school did not do that, they should be reported for maladministration.
