I know it’s incredibly late to ask for help but I’m just confused if I am meant to write a contrasting side to my argument..I don’t like doing that because it just ruins the purpose of the article/speech/letter and doesn’t make my answer coherent enough..but it will negatively impact my mark if I don’t write an alternative or is it not necessary

My understanding is that you should at least briefly mention a different perspective, though you should try to debunk it.
