Am I gonna have to battle with the council for a refund?
So this year I found out the council owe me £1000s from overpaid tax. To pay it back to me they've taken off a huge amount each month for a year (so I'm only paying £2) - would have preferred to just be refunded into my account but hey.
Anyway, I'm starting uni in September and I won't have to pay any council tax at all. So I want to ask for those remaining 4 months just be refunded fully into my account instead of waiting 3 years to resume it (and they'll probably forget by then).
Idk if it's just here by my council absolutely sucks and I'm worried it's gonna be a huge battle to get it back. Please can I have some advice or hear others experiences with anything similar? Thanks!
