Question regarding admissions tests for maths - Imperial & Cambridge
Hello, I am looking applying for Imperial and Cambridge to study maths, however I have looked more into Imperial recently, and noticed they prefer MAT over STEP. I have only been looking at STEP for the last year, because I have only recently considered Imperial, and would hope to get into Imperial or Cambridge, as they seem to be on roughly equal footing from what I have experienced. That being said, they do say although they prefer MAT, you can also do STEP. Although I believe I can do reasonably well doing both, I was curious whether it was actually worth doing, as I am working at a high predicted score for STEP, so I know I can do well in that, so MAT seems like an extra risk if I dedicate more time into it when they accept STEP anyway. I was wondering what the best course of action is?
