I am not a native speaker. Is it difficult for a foreign speaker to obtain a grade 9 in GCSE for these two subjects?

I managed just fine and I took latin too! The main thing is that you need to have a holistic approach. E.g - if you do amazing in your reading and listening but then not very well in your speaking and writing - the reading and listening won't save your grade because the grade is weighted so you need to make for you're performing at a high standard in each section.

My main tip is to throw in as many complex structures as you can - if you can get a few subjunctives into your reading and writing you'll be golden. Idioms too!!
