Need some advice please

Hi there, so I'm interested in doing a bachelor of neuroscience at the University of Melbourne and the A levels I want to do are Biology, Psychology, Mathematics and I have to do English because of the rules of my school and I'm just wondering if these A levels are correct.

I was reading the information on what degrees you can do to get a bachelor's in neuroscience at Melbourne. Apparently, the Australians use a major-minor system whereas we use a specialisation system.

In essense, there are 2 types of degrees you can pick to major in neuroscience:
https://study.unimelb.edu.au/find/courses/undergraduate/bachelor-of-biomedicine/
https://study.unimelb.edu.au/find/courses/undergraduate/bachelor-of-science/
It will depend on which of the 2 degrees that you pick that woulde determine the appropriate entry requirements (the biomedicine degree has a stricter entry requirement).

If you do a bachelor of biomedicine: Chemistry, Mathematics and an approved A or AS Level English subject (AAB).
Bachelor of science: Mathematics, one of Biology, Chemistry and Physics, and an approved A or AS Level English subject; or Both Mathematics and Further Mathematics, and an approved A or AS Level English subject (BCC).

I am not entirely sure how they define "English subject" (do they mean English Language, English Lit, etc. or any A Level taught in English? A Levels are taught all over the world, so it's not uncommon to find A Levels taught in other languages; I also couldn't find anything on their website to clarify this), so you would need to contact undergrad admissions to verify.

If you are settling for bachelor of science, then you should be fine with your A Level options. If you want to strive for the biomedicine degree, then you would need to switch Psychology or Biology with Chemistry. Personal preference: Biology, Chemistry, and Maths (not sure about the English subject requirement).

Hi omg thank you so much for your help, I'm choosing to do a Bachelor of Science and major in neuroscience, because I did get confused when reading the uni Melbourne website and I'm just so glad I can stick with the A levels am going to do use it to study a Bachelor of Science at Melbourne

So I decided to do three A levels which are Biology, math's and English for my Bachelor of science majoring in neuroscience at the university of Melbourne, is that ok?

From the previous posts on the thread, you should be fine with the bachelor's of science. I would double check with the uni to be sure.

Having said that, it's a bit of a shame that you didn't picked chemistry, because that would have given you more options.

Anyway, how have things been since we last corresponded?

I'm doing good thanks I'm preparing for my exams which is coming soon after that I can start my As which I'm pretty excited for and yeah I thought about chemistry before and I realized that I only need one science subject and personally bio is my fav and I wanted to do psychology but I had to choose between English language and Psychology and I choose English instead. How about you?

So long you're happy and you are sure this is what you want with no regrets. Good luck.

Things are OK. Trying to sort out whether I would need to do 2 more A Levels or just 1 and whether I would need to do practical assessments for the unis that I want to apply to. It's a pain.

Thank you because I had a hard time thinking of which A level I should do between English and Psychology and at the end of the day I choose English because I like it and Psychology was just my interest subject and now that I know that I don't really need it I feel a lot better.

Oh I see what A levels have you decided to do or what A levels are you interested in doing?

I need to do Physics for a number of degrees on top of what I already have, but I am checking to see if I need to do chemistry on top.
