Gcse drama devising ideas

So we have picked the stimulus based on a painting of a young girl picking up the rubbish on a boat, please any vague ideas, maybe symbolically of her trying to pick up her life?

Her feeling sympathy for the rubbish because she views herself as the same, could include mental health issues or family troubles.
Is the boat turbulent ? Because you could say that she’s trying to pick up her life when everything else is against her.
Feeling like she’s making decisions too quickly because society is fixed in a certain way so picking up the rubbish(things she doesn’t really want in life).
Idk just a quick brainstorm hope it helped☺️

Rubbish = her life
Full of life aquatic environment = family/ soc
Removing it = pulling her broken self out, isolating
Cleaning the oceans = positive = so does she view herself to be doing something positive to her family/ soc by removing herself? Why might that be?
Removing herself could actually range from picking up her broken pieces to piece up her life in a place where shell fit/ be accepted, or it could be interprered to be taking her life altogether.. Goodluck!!
