English Lit: Othello

Hello,
I am looking at the following quote and wondering how Shakespeare creates meaning?

"The Trust the office I do hold you/not only take away but let your sentence even fall upon my life i.iii: 30-32". It is saying that if Othello is is wrong about how he wooed Brabantio's daughter, he gives the Senators permission to take away his title and order him to be killed. Is this an example of Dramatic Irony as Othello eventually strips himself of his title and kills himself as a result of misjudging Desdemona?

Any advice would be much appreciated!
