Accommodation for phys associate postgrad?

Hi! I'm a new student to UEA and I've accepted my offer for Masters in Physicians Associate Studies, but I've had to defer a year due to finance / mental health, so I start in 2025!

But I've been thinking about my accommodation for when I actually start my postgrad - the PA course starts in January and is 2yrs long, which is rlly awkward since all the student accoms start in September and I won't be able to definitely choose the accom I want/need (en-suite, quiet postgrad flats etc.). I've been contacting the UEA accommodation office / private student halls about the availability of rooms with a Jan move in date but they're all telling me to wait until next year to figure it out. But I literally can't stop worrying abt it lol

I was wondering if current / upcoming PA students know what to do for their accommodation and could give me any advice?

Thanks! - Day

Hi there,

Norwich has an array of options for accommodation for post-graduate students...

If you are looking for student accommodation particularly, or for the benefits that can come with living in student accommodation such as having all bills included within your rent, common areas like games rooms and study rooms, and outside spaces, then there are a fair few options...

- This one is literally brand new having just been renovated into student accommodation - https://www.accommodationforstudents.com/student-hall/3642-st-crispin-s-house-norwich

There are also some options more specifically for post-graduate students and young professionals which don't always have any communal areas but are flats and studios more suited to independent living and with more built-in amenities. I stayed in one of these myself which I would highly recommend - https://www.pads4grads.com/

Alternatively, you may wish to look at the general private rental market. In this case I would recommend the website UniHomes as this lists house particularly for students - https://www.unihomes.co.uk/student-accommodation/norwich/near-university-of-east-anglia

I hope this helps you find somewhere, please do let me know if you have any further questions!

Thanks,
Leah

Hi @daysnutz

As UEA Rep Leah said, there are lots of options for accomodation in Norwich so even if you needed it closer to the time I am sure there would be plenty of options available.

There is a chance there may be spare accomodation on campus near the time. Also, I would recommend looking nearby in the golden triangle or in Norwich city centre as both are not far away and the public transport from campus to the city centre is really great.

Please let us know if you have any further questions
