You will need to read the books and reflect on them…
Simon singh - fermats last theorem
Seventeen equations that changed the world
Allenby - numbers and proof
The music of the primes
alex’s adventure in numberland

Hi!

I study maths at Lancaster and I can definitely recommend reading Alex's Adventures in Numberland as @BankaiGintoki mentioned! I also read Hello World by Hannah Fry and wrote about this in my personal statement so that might be another one you want to have a look at. Don't worry too much about quantity as you won't have space to write and reflect fully on lots of books maybe focus on 1 or 2 Maths and 1 or 2 Economics/Finance books.

Hope this helps!
