Are these alevels suitable for an economics or finance degree at a top uni ?

I’m taking art bio and maths and I want to do economics at a top uni, there were my 3 best subjects at gcse. Should I change them if I want to econ or finance at a top uni ?

The key subject you need for both finance and economics is maths. At top end uni, you might be asked to do furtther maths on top, if it's available to you.

With top end unis, you would want to pick the more academic subjects. Biology and maths fit this description. What constitutes academic subjects can depend on the individual uni, but I think you might have some difficulty with Art with some unis. Having said that, there is usually a list of approved subjects on the degree course page e.g.

https://www.lse.ac.uk/study-at-lse/Undergraduate/Offer-Holder/degree-programmes-2023/BSc-Finance
https://www.kcl.ac.uk/study/undergraduate/courses/economics-and-management-bsc
https://www.southampton.ac.uk/economics/undergraduate/apply/entry_requirements.page

I think it's appropriate if you look at the entry requirements of the specific degrees that you want to do first. The requirements for specific degrees can vary from degree to degree as well as from uni to uni.
