I wanted to know if with a business management degree you could become a lawyer. Im thinking of doing a law conversion course after i attain my degree , but i still feel like its not enough. My inital career goal is to become a corporate lawyer.

Hi @i.dont.know!

Nearly 50% of practising lawyers have done a law conversion course rather than an LLB in law so there is absolutely no reason why you would not be able to become a corporate lawyer. In fact, having a business degree may give you a boost in your application process as you will be able to show a potentially greater knowledge in the field compared to a law student

Good luck!

Hello!! Wow I’m exactly the same as you… I’m wanting to branch off too into law once I’ve completed my business course! I was thinking of swapping up criminology but I think business will give so many more opportunities. good luck!
One of my friends did a Business degree and the conversion course is now a criminal lawyer.

I am not sure if I wanna be a CEO, investment banker or corporate lawyer. I'm thinking of taking Accounting, Economics, Law and Business in A levels. Is it advisable to keep 4 subjects tho ?

I'm divided up between being a CEO, corporate lawyer and investment banker. I'm thinking to study Law, Accounting, Business and Economics in A level. Can you advise me if I should drop a subject or study all 4 ?

Hi @first-quarter-cr!

There would be nothing wrong with doing 4 A levels if you can maintain the workload. However, doing 4 A levels may mean that you get lower results in all of them as you will have less time to focus on each independently. If the choice is to have done 4 or to have better grades, I would advise ensuring you get the best grades you can as this is what will matter more going forward.

I hope this helps 🙂
