Free courses and educational videos

Hi, I thought I would recommend some free courses and educational videos in case anyone was interested. Please chime in with more!

OpenLearn: free online courses from the Open University, some of which are adapted extracts from Open University modules. They're mostly text-based but some have video or audio parts. They tend to have questions with text boxes and some have multiple-choice questions. You get a statement of participation for finishing them, and some give you digital badges. Various subjects and study skills.

Khan Academy: online videos, articles and exercises, various subjects. You can earn lots of badges and I think avatars, which is fun.

Crash Course: fast-paced videos, about 10-15 minutes long, on various subjects.

Duolingo: language-learning app. It has ads unless you subscribe.

Extra History: the history spin-off of a video game development and game studies video series. The art is nice and they have a "lies" episode of corrections at the end of each series.

Overly Sarcastic Productions: a YouTube channel with a mixture of mythology and literature summaries (with cool drawings), history, and media talk.

Hakob Barseghyan's HPS100 Introductory History and Philosophy of Science: a recorded lecture series from the University of Toronto.
