A-Level Politics

I’ve just taken up A-Level Politics. I am currently in Year 13 and was able to swap subjects due to special circumstances. I have a few questions:

1. How content heavy is politics?
2. Is the subject easy to pick up?
3. How difficult is the essay structure?
4. Is there any general tips for doing well in politics? What can you do to aim for A or A* in politics?

I’ve got to work really hard and it’s not going to be an easy task so any advice and guidance would be useful.

I don't do politics but, since you're in year 13 will you need to finish the course in 1 year alongside your A levels?

Yeah, that’s the plan. Obviously there’s the option of taking a gap year and doing the exam later rather than May/June 2024 but I’m not interested in doing that. School have been extremely supportive and are helping me a lot. They’ve said it’s doable so I’m just going to see how it goes. It’s a lot of work and I know there’s a lot to catch up on but I’m willing to try.
