Most difficult Cambridge colleges to get into for maths

Hi,

Does anyone know which Cambridge colleges are best to avoid (if you were to play the stats game) if you wanted to maximise your chance of getting a maths offer? As in, which colleges (other than Trinity) tend to attract the strongest applicants/Olympians ?

When my son applied a year ago, we looked at the admissions stats page, where you can see which colleges give to the pool and take from it (or both). We concluded that Trinity was the one to avoid because it gets so many really good applicants that it can't interview them all and so some students are rejected pre-interview, thus losing the chance to be pooled. Beyond that, my son chose the college he liked the best, but would have felt fine if he'd been pooled. Best of luck with your application!
