I'm applying to oxford for mathematics and statistics And the other 4 unis I'm applying to, the subject is actuarial science. how do I combine these in my PS properly? Is it a bad idea to combine?
If you apply to Oxford with a personal statement not focused on your course, it gives the impression that you don't actually care about the course itself, only the prestige of the university. It's not a good look. It's similar for other prestigious universities - as a bare minimum, they want students that know what they want to study.
