Psychology University Personal Statement

I’m trying to write a personal statement for undergraduate Psychology but am finding it tricky. I want to include Robert Winstons ‘Human instincts’ but am not sure what quotations to use from the book and how to link it. Any help would be appreciated.

Generally it is best not to waste characters with quotes from books. Mention the author/ title and then talk about your opinion on the book, what it made you realise or your reflections on the book. You can link it in with your next point by saying something about how it made you interested in …. led you to research ….

Good luck
Hello,

Instead of quoting, try paraphrasing and relating it to the rest of your personal statement instead. Like what {user CAG575} said, do mention your opinion about the quote or book. Maybe mention how it inspires you (if it does)!

Good luck :h:
