Hi there , it's great to see that you are doing your research before you write your personal statement , this will ensure that you have an exceptional statement. Technically you can include anything that you wish in your personal statement , it is supposed to be a reflection of you and because you only get one personal statement for all the universities you apply to through UCAS you are advised to make it somewhat vague and applicable to all your applications.
Try your best to make it as relevant as possible , if you would like to mention that your interests are in Bioengineering , Nanotech and Mechanical engineering then go ahead and mention all three . I hope this helps you a little .
