P1 How do I find part b?

A)find using algebra all the real solutions of
2x^3+3x^2-35x=0
B)hence find all real solutions of
2(y-5)^6+3(y-5)^4-35(y-5)^2=0

Can you not see a couple of simple transformations which give the relationship between x and y?

No

The second equation is basically a hidden/disguised cubic/quadratic and by looking at the coefficients it should be clear how the terms are paired up, then theyre equivalent when x = ... which gives the relationship between the roots.
