Reusing PS at same uni?

Hi, I JUST found out that you can reuse parts of your old personal statement on reapplication. I'm applying to some of the same unis as last year, one for the same course, and I know that these unis have their own plagiarism checker. Will they know that it's me again? Will it still look bad if it's flagged?

It depends how their systems are set up.

Where I work all PSs an applicant has submitted to us linked to their current and previous applications show on their most recent application.

You absolutely can

The issue if you’re reapplying to the same university is it can look as if you’ve done nothing related to a subject you’re claiming to be “passionate” about in the most recent 12 months if you reuse significant amounts of an older PS.
