Liberal Arts BA at KCL

I have applied for Liberal Arts and recently got accepted into King’s. I have also applied to Durham, Exeter, Bristol and Nottingham, with Durham being my other top choice. I am leaning towards King’s due to the London location, international community and what seems to be a passionate liberal arts department. However, I have heard some students say that the admin at King’s is not the best with things like timetabling, getting work back etc. Because liberal arts is a little more complicated due to studying multiple subjects, I am worried this will be a problem. Is anyone studying Liberal Arts at King’s? It would be great to know what it has been like.

Hi I ended up firming KCL for the liberal arts course. After going to the offer holder day I got the sense that the liberal arts course is well-structured and thought through. For me liberal arts is a great course because I can major in English while also taking modules in other subjects I am interested in such as history, but if you feel that another course is more suited to you which is more focused on one or two subjects that may be better for you. It really depends. As for choosing King’s the biggest thing was the London location - there is just so much on offer and I really like the international feel. But again it’s a personal decision on whether you prefer a city or a smaller campus feel.

Heyyy, I also firmed KCL for Liberal Arts BA after the offer holder day. What really sold me is the optional placement opportunities, the language course and how diverse the modules are. Guess I'll be seeing you in the fall
