Applying a job in UK as an IMG (Bulgarian med degree)

Hi guys, it’s been a few months since getting a GMC licence (after Medicine degree in Europe) and feeling a bit depressed as I haven’t gotten anywhere with NHS jobs/ Locums - all FY1/ FY2 jobs require previous nhs experience. Any advice would be helpful please.
Would it help if I did any exams/ courses ie Plab?

I've moved this to the right forum
I've been trying to get my head around this, since my sister will be in a similar position to you in a year or so.

A couple questions:
Are you a British citizen?
Have you tried doing a clinical attachment as some trusts can class this as NHS experience?
Doing an ALS course might be helpful.
Applying when current FY1s are rotating is recommended - I read this somewhere to be Nov-Dec and March-April

Please don't give up, it's really tough for IMGs to get a job but it's definitely possible! We're rooting for you :hugs:

The key is to keep applying, but make sure to prepare yourself well with an application and potential interview that's specifically for each job description - a spreadsheet can help you here

Edit: just saw this was a year old
