Will I lose all the marks if I get one thing wrong?

Will I lose all the marks if I get one thing wrong near the beginning of my working out (A-Level Maths)? I'm talking about edexcel maths A level and marking in the real exam not in class. Thanks

If you have been clear on the method you are using then you will get some marks. Look at the examples online.

thanks a lot, so if I make a mistake in the first few steps and the rest of the numbers are wrong, then as long as steps/method is right then ill be fine?
