Advanced higher chemistry project help!

Hi, I’m studying advanced higher chemistry this year and picked “Examination of Inks with Thin Layer Chromatography” as my project.

I’m a bit lost in starting my project in general as I’ve never done one before, so any help is appreciated! But if you’ve ever done this one or something similar is there any parts that didn’t work, I should include etc?!

Maybe start off with a short background of how inks are made, that they contain a variety of pigments etc.
Then perhaps a bit of background on chromatography.
Then you can propose a hypothesis/example, and investigate some black inks potentially (as black, generally, has the highest number of pigments I believe)

Thank you! That sounds like a good idea
