Here is the question, its solution and my working out for part a. My answer for part a is different to what has been shown in the solution. Would my answer still be accepted had this been a question in the actual exam? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Top of the second page yours goes wrong
a/(b-c)
is not
a/b - a/c
As in the model solution, either take the reciprocal or cross multipy and get the expression in terms of sin^2(t) = ...
