What grade is band 3?

when i do my assessment which is English (Poetry) for GCSE and I get confused by the mark given to my paper, right now I have been getting band 2 and 3, I was very upset with myself when I saw that because I thought to my self that is so low result and it was out of Band 5 (maximum) and I just want to know what grade is for each band all the way to Band 5 which is 1-5,

It depends on your year's average grade cohort but I would say normally a band 3 is a grade 6 or a low 7

In my school currently:
Band 1 - Grade <3
Band 2 - Grade 3-4
Band 3 - Grade 5-6
Band 4 - Grade 7 and low 8
Band 5 - Grade high 8 and 9
