University of St Andrews
Theoretical physics is far more mathematical than the standard, experimental Physics degree; expect to do more quantum topics in theoretical. You do not do lab work in later years in a theoretical physics degree. No change in 1st nor 2nd year (that is A2 and 1st year for English students).
