So many Medicine applicants have 3 A stars predicted, so work on getting predicted the highest possible A-Level grades. :smile: You could also consider applying post A-Level with your certificated A-Level grades.
just gotta max out your other stats
think they consider an 8 and 9 to be the same.
really ucat is the most essential part of med school apps- its the game changer
everyone has minimum decent grades applying
thanks for you reply- so if i were to get excellent UCAT and predicted grades do I have a chance at an interview ? :wink:
Yes why not

Have you seen this? https://www.medsci.ox.ac.uk/study/medicine/pre-clinical/statistics

You have 6 8s/9s and a percentage of 8s/9s of 60%. Looking at the 2023 statistics, your chances of being shortlisted (and getting an offer) are very, very slim. Given that medicine is so competitive, you might want to seriously consider applying to other medical schools where you stand a better chance.
@GANFYD - any thoughts?

Exactly what @mishieru07 said. Perhaps easier to see on the text version of the stats

1 person even interviewed with the same GCSE scores as OP, and that has been similar for years. This person is also likely to be heavily contextualised, but even if this is the case for OP there was a 1:61 change of an interview. Much safer options elsewhere

yes i’ve spent hours looking at it ☹️ i thought maybe because i highly over performed in my school that might be taken into account but i doubt it. i just want to study medicine anywhere i guess oxford was just a pipe dream of mine

maybe consider retaking the 5&3 grades if you are in year 12 for this summer?
