does anyone know if this course is worth it? i’ve got an unconditional but i’m international so i don’t rly know much about the area or uni
Hey @lanakelly !

First off, big congratulations on your unconditional offer! It's great to hear you're considering studying here at Kingston, and as a current 2nd year BA Fine Art and Art History student myself, if you have any specific course-related/general university life questions I'd be more than happy to answer them for you.

As an area, I find that Kingston-upon-Thames has a really good mix of green spaces (with Richmond Park close by), restaurants and retail/shopping areas (Bentall Centre), so it perfectly fit what I was looking in a university town. It's removed enough from central London that you don't have to worry about noise or constant crowds, but also close enough that getting into central (Vauxhall/Waterloo) for a night out or to do some shopping only takes about 25-30 minutes on the train.

I've made a few posts in the past about what a day in my life looks like on the course, which might be worth checking out if you're interested in finding more about the uni/rough schedule:

Make sure to also take a look at the Kingston University London forum on The Student Room as well - we have tons of blog posts about what different facilities/services Kingston has to offer: https://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/forumdisplay.php?f=506
