For SQA higher biology do we need to know information about monohybrid crosses

question above
It is certainly worth knowing. Both the 2022 and 2023 Higher Biology papers had questions about plant and animal breeding.

cuz some of the higher paper (old) had the mono hybrid crosses and the course spec says we kinda have to know it.lol my teacher sucks, she literally missed some bits of the content for higher biology

Definitely go over it then. There are examples in Higher Bio textbooks, if you have one to hand.

If you familiarise yourself first with the drawing and interpreting of Punnett squares it'll be easier to get your head around the concepts in Mendelian genetics overall. Diagrams make it so much easier.
