Kent vs Oxford brookes

I have got an offer from both and wondering which one is best for business information technology. Also which one is best for master or which one gives the best chance of getting into Oxbridge in the future? Would love all oyur input
Hi @Anonymous,

It’s great to hear that you have offers from both Oxford Brookes University and the University of Kent!

Each Business Information Technology programme has its own strengths. At Oxford Brookes, you’ll benefit from state-of-the-art facilities, including a VR cave, digital labs, and robotics labs, along with strong industry links. You can take on work placements with companies like IBM and Deloitte, and the course offers a blend of technical IT skills and business knowledge, all with a focus on real-world experience.

It might be helpful to visit the programme webpages to compare the key differences or connect with alumni from both universities to gain an insight into their experiences.

The right fit for you will depend on your personal preferences! You may also want to consider location, extracurricular activities, and the cost of living at each university.

If Oxbridge is something you’re interested in for the future, it may be worth thinking about their specific requirements and working backwards from there!

Good luck with your decision! Let us know if you have any more questions! 😊

Best wishes,

Clare

kent and oxford-brooks are not russel group universities, so your chances at oxbridge are pretty slim compared to all those other better-regarded unis.
if you get a first class w distinction however, you might be seen higher as a first-class student from one of them.

Good afternoon, I hope that you are well.

Kent Business School is a fantastic location in terms of career growth and support in relation to roles in Business Information and Business Tech. The reason I say this, is because of a fantastically integrated career care system offered by the University. Also, the University provides you access to Bloomberg labs which is fantastic if you want to access elements of Investment data.

Kent has a particular place in Kent Business School called ASPIRE, a service which functions to help young entrepreneurs grow valuable skillsets and business idea. Moreover, these can also be applied to different areas of your own career trajectory and growth.

I hope this helps and provides insight!
