hi, im 16 and currently an A-level student studying maths, physics and computer science. im working towards getting a job in motorsports (f1 or wed or smthn like that) and im unsure which subject is the one that teams would prefer to look for. does anyone have any advice? (thank you in advance)
It depends what you want to do i F1 or WEC, it’s generally best to develop skills & experience in a focused area which directly applies to the role you wish to apply for.
Depends on what field you want to go into in motorsports. I was in the same boat as you but now know what path I need to follow. Message me and I can help you out
We are glad to hear you are interested in our Motorsport Engineering course! If you have any questions about this course, feel free to contact us. You may also want to consider coming to one of our Open Days where you can talk to the course lecturers, current students and tour the campus 🙂
Best wishes, Shannon Admissions Office Oxford Brookes University

Hi there, One University you might want to consider is Coventry University as it has an excellent motorsport engineering course that gives you access to world class facilities and a large team of academic with industry experience. I am currently studying motorsport engineering here and absolutely love it. We also have a highly competitive Formula Student Team called Phoenix Racing who came 7th Overall last year and are aiming for top 3 this year. The team helps provide invaluable experience to help with getting into top tier motorsport https://www.coventry.ac.uk/course-structure/ug/eec/motorsport-engineering-mengbeng-hons/ That is a link to the course page incase you want anymore information or use the universities Unibuddy page to contact some other students. I hope your application goes well. Dan - Student Ambassador
I remember from open days you can do Mechanical engineering with Motorsport. That might be a better option. Just in case if you change your mind in the future l, mechanical engineering opens more doors.

The courses are so similar that it makes no difference. Brookes auto includes EVs.
