chemistry exam

hi guys
i had a question what does the brackets in alevel aqa chemistry mark schemes mean? do i get the mark if i dont mention what they hace put in brackets or not?
for example for one q it asked for electron config. of ca2+
and i put up to 3p6 and mark scheme had the (4s0)in brackets.

It means it is optional extra detail that won't get credited.

If you include the information that isn't in the brackets and don't give the info that is inside the brackets, then sure thing.
