University summer school

Right, so me and German aren't on great terms.
Basically, a B will be a miracle. Apart from that I am a solid A/B student and I have an offer for English literature at Glasgow.

I have heard about the summer school that is run at Glasgow, have looked on the website .etc but it isn't all that clear about the specifics of it. Has anyone attended/does anyone plan to attend the summer school because they have a weak subject?

Is it open to anyone?
Is accommodation provided?
At what point will i be expected to book?

I'm not sure on the Glasgow summer school, but I know for a fact that Strathclyde University provides free summer school consisting of 12/13 sessions (I think) for absolutely free (for Scottish students).
