The busiest bus route in Europe is Oxford Road, Manchester

In the UK colour analogue TV is broadcasted on the same frequency as the black white signal, the colour signals are mathematicaly fitted inside the frequency side bands, its one of the biggest pieces of complex engineering ever, but nobody thinks about it.

By road Manchester to London is 208 miles, by train the same journey is 160 miles.

Even by the late 1970's most 'home' computers had a Microsoft operating system.

The first 'village' to built in the UK with piped gas and electricity was Chorltonville, South Manchester in 1911. All houses were fully wired and it had gas (to have pipped gas was very rare in those days).

By 2011 there will be more cars in the world than people.

An average brand new car looses £1000 in value the first time the keys are handed over.

Because the second you buy a brand new car it becomes second hand, its no longer brand new.

So it has to be sold second, there will also be a one previous owner on the log book.

Its why wise people never buy brand new cars. Instead by a 6 month old one and have a huge holiday or buy a much better car with savings.
