Well, if all things went well, there should be around 40 PET facilities in the UK within the next 3-5 of years. It will probably take 10+ though .. :rolleyes:

whats the big deal, i mean its nice and all to be able to see hot spots, but i think high res CTs are a much mor exciting prospect.
All PETS can do is find distant mets and granuloma type structures.
Their main use is simply in classifying severity of a cancer.
