I messed up question 6, very very very annoying. Would I still get follow through marks?

Both hadrons and leptons decay using the weak interaction. All leptons (aside from neutrinos) eventually decay into an electron, just as Hadrons decay to the proton, as it is the most stable lepton. Both types also experience electrostatic and gravitational forces, though the latter is almost completely negligible at those masses. The main difference was that Hadrons experience the strong force, while leptons do not.
what did people get for the threshold frequency??
Guys! mostly, it has been 54-56 out of 70 for an A. It shouldn't be that difficult to get A this time. I recon it will be 56/70 for an A.

Proton is not a lepton, it is a baryon. But you are correct with the rest.

Electron capture is a decay.




Dont think it is, decay is the transition to a more stable particle but electron capture goes from proton to neutron, but the proton is more stable

From my very bad memory I seem to remember getting 4.01x10^6 for specific charge, is this what people got?

I did not say a proton was a lepton. I said that, in a similar way as all hadrons decay to the proton, all leptons decay to the electron.

4) feynman stuff ( d quark, W+ Boson, positron, electron neutrino)

8) I did baryon number and electron lepton number conservation but there are mpre
9) big 6 marker, pretty easy
10) particle/ antiparticle: i did electron and positron and said charge was opposite

11) max and range of KE: photons energy dependant upon freq. as E= hf. Ekmax = hf - phi thereofore max KE exists. Range of ke's because more energy needed to remove deeper electrons etc.
12) prove 1.8eV (pretty easy)

14)increasing frequency increases max KE of emitted electrons as by equation or by photon energy route, your choice

Yes, but I did it to two significant figures. They'll probably still give you the mark though.
I feel like I've seen completely different electricity questions than everyone here... oh dear :s-smilie:

I got Q6 completely wrong :/ I worked out answers using the 6.3 and got 6ohms for the other resistor. I then got 1/6+1/2=2/3 which I flipped and got 3/2 and added onto 3/2 to get 3 ohms. Did anyone else do this or was this just me being stupid? How many marks will I lose for using 6.3 instead of 12-6.3=5.7?

Is 31) not decrease as the voltmeter was across R not the LDR?
