Do we get our unit marks deducted if violation of exam rules occurred?

I went out of the examination room in between two module papers. So, after I did my first paper, I went out of the examination room, and went back to the examination room for the second paper. However, some people did this second paper as their first paper (because we got to choose in which order we want to do these two papers). This was therefore viewed as a chance to cheat. As a result, my teacher said she's going to put me down on a note which would be going to the exam board, about me violating the examination rules for this second paper (by going out of the examination venue in between two exams). Would this note of violation of exam rules have caused any deduction in the marks I get for my second paper? Thank you very much for reading.

Normally if you leave the exam room unescorted between exams you are not allowed to take the second exam. How did this happen?

If they did report you to the exam board then they would have had to give you the chance to make a statement and the exam board's verdict would have come back before Results day and been relayed to you. If this has not happened then they have not reported you. Count yourself very lucky indeed.

I don't know exactly, they just allowed to take part in the exam as well. What kind of statement would they let you make? In my case, I haven't been asked to make any statements and I did not get the exam board's verdict. I have also got the grade and ums mark for that paper on my results slip. Just curious, do you what happens if the exam board make a negative verdict? Would I get downgraded on that paper or disqualified for that paper or even get some sort of a negative record on my certificates or anything? Thanks so much for replying to my post btw ! The penalties can vary from a warning, through losing some marks, to no marks for that unit, to no marks for that subject right through to being banned from taking exams for a set length of time. Nothing ever goes on the certificates.
