Whats the relavence of the question?

How does the fact I've worked below minimum wage (before the 16/17 rate was set) and opened a petrol station at 6am for 20% more than minimum wage (on hawking myself/CV around a trading estate) have a bearing on my earning expectations on graduation?

One if looking for a minimum wage job, one is looking for a grad job.

Confused...

The degree subject is irrelevant. Any degree (ideally a BA) will do.

I didn't realise how crap the starting salary for a doctor was until I started speaking to non-medic friends about what their salaries are going to be.
Very annoying given that my hours are going to be ridiculous :mad:

I've never heard 21k as starting salary of doctors..I'm sure it's higher, where did you get that figure?
Edit: Just checked the NHS website, and thats the bare minimum, I think you'd be paid more living in London than say Sunderland as a doctor. Also it increases in your 2nd year to 28k anyway, so hardly anything to fret about

Plus most FY1s/2s I know make up a lot more through overtime. At least you guys get paid for extra shifts.

If I got paid for overtime I'd be minted. Unfortunately, overtime just reduces my effective hourly rate to almost call centre levels...
