Don't see a reason why not, had a few people ask me to do it.
I've never used Skype (awkward as I have a Skype interview tomorrow at 3

I've cammed with TheReckless, can definitely confirm there have never been akward silences
Nah. I rarely use Skype. The only time I've really used it was to talk to my mum when I was in Iceland. I don't like going on cam, even with folk I know really well and as for messaging, you can do that on here, fb, text etc anyway so I don't feel the need for Skype.

There's a few people I'd be happy to Skype with, but I wouldn't do a video call with just any random member, no.

It was ok. Just seemed natural.
Voice chat yes. I have talked to people I have met through games etc online on stuff like Mumble and Team Speak so it would be no different.
