OCR MEI Maths Exams Discussion Thread- C1-C4, M1, S1, FP1 etc

I haven't seen any threads for OCR MEI maths yet, so I thought I'd make one.
If anybody has any tips for exams, good resources or just wants a place to vent- post here :h:

To start us off, we might as well post what exams we're doing this year so we know who's doing what.
I'm doing C1, C2, C3 and S1 this year and then C4 and M1 next year.

aha, same here- we did stats ages ago (before October half term) so I can barely remember any of it.

Yes and I'm also doing an extra module to contribute towards AFM (AS) which I will finish next year!

jeez, you're doing LOADS of modules xD

Yep, ready for C1 though I keep making stupid mistakes which cost me about 4-5 marks in each paper. So it looks like I won't be getting 100UMS :frown:

pretty much the same problem here- you can drop 1 mark normally for 100 UMS so a slight leeway.

I swear you can drop more than a mark and maintain 100 UMS. Isn't it twice the A-B boundary on top of the A boundary for 100 UMS?

In C1 yeah, since grade boundaries tend to be around 62-63/72 on average

Ehm guys this is a simple question, for you guys anyways.

If you have like (64a^12)^3/4

Ignore the 64.

Does the power of a get divided by the denominator, in this case 4 then multipled by 3.

If so, does this work for all of these types of indice questions?

And what happens if you have the exact problem but a negative fractional power.
