I am considering doing the same.
Just completed the deduction test, took me just over an hour. It's the first time I've taken a test like this, so I was fairly slow answering the first few questions, but got into it about half way through, most questions were easy if you thought about them logically, I went through a lot of scrap paper! The only questions I had a bit of trouble with were the ones about the tv contestants - you'll see what I mean when you do the test yourself. Attempted to then take the Analysis Test but my browser went funny and now it's saying it's been abandoned :frown:
Same questions threw me too! There seemed to be so bloody many of them!

The TV contestants questions threw me. And the X and Y axis one a little. The rest weren't bad on the deductive. Gonna do Analytical test next week.

Hi, hope you're feeling better. If you still want to split please let me know. The third person never got back to me and I've already purchased the deductive test. Thanks

Hi, I could split with you if possible?
For anyone who has purchased the deductive reasoning tests, and subsequently taken the test - do you think it was worth it? How similar were the questions?
Hello,

I am through to Stage 2, I would be really grateful if somebody could send me the link for the practice tests so I can purchase them please.

Thank you and Good luck to you all

So are the tests from jobstepprep worth it?
At £30 a pop, I may try and undercut them in future and just offer to do people's tests for them for £30 or something. They're hustling well.

Can anyone confirm if the deductive reasoning is based on seating arrangement questions or syllogisms? Just seems vague from the information provided

About 3/4 questions are, there are (from memory) 5/6 types of questions, and there are several of each type.

Hi all, I did both tests last week. Was just wondering if anyone knows how long they aim to get back to us with results etc.

Thanks

On the Facebook page it says around the 31st December. Since the deadline for completion is the 21st I wouldn't be surprised if they came out a bit earlier.

Do you have to do both tests once you click the link? Or can you do the first chosen test one day and come back and do the second test another day?

You don't have to do both in the same sitting. I did the logical test the other day but going to do the numerical one next week after a 3,500 essay is due in!

Ah ok! Thank you
Just completed both tests, good luck to everyone else who's done them/are doing them!
Hi. I applied to for the TSP last year and am doing so again this year.

After reaching the assessment centre, I was not offered a place but was instead offered a job as a HO, which many of my colleagues refer to as a 'near miss'. I felt that the AC went terribly for me and I was surprised to even be offered a job, so I was wondering if anyone had any information/stats about how close you have to be to get offered a HO position? Did I just miss out or did pretty much everyone from the AC get offered a position of some sort?
