Prom Dress SOS!

So my prom is coming up soon and I don't know what kind of dress to get. I'm fairly tanned with brown eyes and long curly brown hair.
I don't want a proper prom dress with all the sparkles the normal glitzy stuff, but I also don't want a dull dress.
I think I'd like either a long dress to the floor or short one above the knee and I would quite like it to be ombre. My ideal colours would be lilac, mint or dark green, but I don't want a blue, black or white dress. Other than that I have no idea! Any suggestions on what to go for?

Deep green as in very dark green short dress. A very dark green that is found in nature. I think that would suit you.

Personally not a bad price at all. I've been to Coast for their dresses and they're very expensive.

I made my own dress. Dark red chiffon and satin to knee length. I got loads of people saying wow, I can believe you made it.
Go for dark forest green to your knee as it'll be summer and you're tanned. You'll look gorgeous!
If you feel brave, look for patterns in dress making shops and design your own from there. That's what I did, although a good seamstress could easily make a dress with your measurements. That'd be truly unique!
