I'm not doubting that it isn't happening- I know it is. My point of contention is the logic that because a few of them are doing this and every single time it's making the news here through the channels of media it means the majority. It's just being presented like it's a majority. It's naive to lump every Syrian refugee has benefit scrounging rapists when that really isn't the real picture. And a consequence of your naivety is creating the culture of mistrust which leads to oppression and as I've said before, this leads to radicalisation.

If everyone is to be identified with the worst crimes that their race is committing in a variety of contexts then we are all rapists, paedophiles, and murderers.

It is not worth welcoming these refugees as they comprise a disturbing minority of barbarians. Even if only 10% of them were criminals, the effects on our society would be too high.

It's not worth welcoming these refugees as they won't benefit the country. They have to be educated from scratch, fed and housed for many years before they may start to be productive. It is pointless to spend so much money on them when public services are soaring.

I gave you two good reasons to refuse these refugees. If you really want to help, then only admit women and children. Young men can stay in the refugee camps around Syria.

If young men stay in the refugee camps around Syria, bored, oppressed, vilified. What are they going to do? They will be lured by the recruitment tactics of Isis, who prey on disenfranchised young men (and women) to bolster their numbers and their state. Isis and terrorism is a greater threat to our 'civilisation' than a minority of badly integrated refugee men in Germany right now.
I will make no apologises if I offend anyone
Get them out of Europe ...... They clearly have no respect for our culture , law or the people and the country that allowed them to say
Turly disgusting behaviour and I ask the Rapeugee loving lefies to think again

Nice post. I agree with you. Have you seen my posts in the thread about potential ways to achieve a solution on this?

The bottom line is it's hugely complex and difficult to work out the best way to deal with the situation. But to categorise the options into a) close the borders completely or b) let everyone come uncontrolledly, is so naive and I find it frustrating that this becomes about 'lefties' vs right wing when people should think about a real solution.

And I love your thought provoking questions. This situation indeed throws up more questions than it does answers. Before we focus on a solution we need to figure out all the questions and how to solve them individually.

I did. I think you're right that Isis has the intention of alienating the Muslim world and forcing them in to joining by leaving them no other venue. After all, that happened in Ireland and has happened in many other places.

There's a reason it declared itself a Caliphate - They were saying that God has granted them the entire Muslim world and will grant them victory.

I actually would love for someone to solve generational poverty. That is the single-most difficult thing. Ostensibly, throwing money at the problem is the easiest thing. That doesn't work in practice, however:

http://www.macleans.ca/news/canada/canada-home-to-the-suicide-capital-of-the-world/

Pikangikum is Canada's shame. (As a Canadian, I can say that)

The Natives were killed off, forced on to reservations and betrayed many times by our government. That wasn't what destroyed this group, however. This group was fine up until the late 1950s, when it was considered a model community. This was long after the government schools kidnapped children from their Native parents and forced them to to attend school. This was long after the terrible diseases ravaged them. It was a century after their reservation was created. None of those terrible things were what destroyed them.

What destroyed this nation was the government store. Natives are provided free schooling, free health care, no taxation, free houses built for them and are paid a stipend upon age of majority to make up for crimes done in the past. And yet... It was only when massive welfare was introduced that their society crumbled. No longer dependent upon one another, their community fell. They became bored - Drugs, alcohol et al ravaged their community and suicide rates shot through the sky.

Not because of genocide. Not because of disease. It was well-meaning meddling that destroyed this community.

Oh yeah because everyone says that about criminals...

Oh wait no sorry it's a (usually right wing) fantasy

What an ignorant statement. This is not about the Right vs. the Left but about criminals attacking innocent people and how we, as a society, react.
I really don't get why european countries should spend so much money on those rodents. For all that money they have spent they could have helped our healthcare system and education, making our people better off. Yet they are willing to spend money to house all the criminals claiming to be refugees and can't provide neither decent welfare for native people nor safety from those goat-f*****s.

The only way to get a control on it is to reduce the numbers allowed to come over. The US have a good system where people from Syria etc. Have quite a rigorous process on deciding who to let in and they normally come over as families.

I do think that men on their own shouldn't be allowed to come in unless there is good reason-I.e all their family is dead.
people flee from the Middle East and North Africa in search of better living conditions (something I can fully understand)

they will cross over from Turkey to the Greek islands (or from Lybia to Italy) on fragile boats and, more often than not, will be rescued at sea

they will show up to authorities without any documents, declare they are Syrians, refuse to be fingerprinted, and will then make their way overland towards Germany

the States they have to cross (Italy, Greece, Serbia, Slovenia etc) are quite happy to see them leave, and just speed them on northwards

so, how is it possible to control anything ? the only way would be to use force (forced fingerprinting, closed refugee camps, shooting at those trying to flee etc), and to put up walls (as Hungary did)

are we ready to do this ? (the UK is in a slightly different situation as compared to continental Europe)

There have been over 10 different reports of migrants masterbating in public pools. What do you expect?

Ah. You again.

I'm German and a long time lurker on this forum. Many, many people on this forum got banned for merely questioning the policy decisions linked to immigration/migration such as the one made by my Chancellor to allow all these migrants into my country
1) without checking if they are holding genuine passports
2) without checking if they have links to terrorist groups
3) without checking if they have criminal records in their home countries
4) without checking if they have HIV/AIDS

Now these migrants have turned Europe upside down. I hope all of you reading my post, bears this in mind. A country's sovereignty, security and safety of its citizens is so so important. With Merkel's blunder, we have become a carbon copy of UK & the rest of EU and their set of problems.

I know, my comment will probably be deleted due to south-asian (or whatever you call them politely) persons ganging up as they always do. Why can't our governments see that all they leave is the trail of destruction and will soon turn our countries into ****ty war zones to make it feel homely for them? Hell, whilst passing some muslim neighbourhoods in the UK you just pray not to get shot or stabbed or raped.

I'm glad you brought this up. Recently, there was a thread which asked if people would defend UK if she were to go to war with other countries. I was shocked to see many replies from forum members of Muslim ethnicity who said they wouldn't bother. (I am describing their comments very mildly as I don't want to undergo that sick feeling in my stomach again)

With regards to your posts, I sincerely hope that you will permit yourself to look at this from my angle (me being a foreigner).

First of all, you have a weak British government led by a Prime Minister who is clueless. He claims that he will get a good deal for UK insofar as her membership of the EU goes but at the same time, he knows that the best deal is to be able to control your own borders and decide who can come and live in the UK, subject to
1) checking if they are holding genuine passports
2) checking if they have links to terrorist groups
3) checking if they have criminal records in their home countries
4) checking if they have the necessary educational qualifications or skill set
5) checking if they have HIV/AIDS
Someone recently asked me why should people wanting to enter into another country, be checked for HIV/AIDS? This is because the government owes a duty to its citizens to protect them from people who may want to infect others with their communicable diseases. This is an extension of a 'social contract theory'. Read up on it if you have time.

You then have a Cabinet that is staffed with people who are equally clueless. How Theresa May, a geography graduate became the Home Secretary is beyond ridiculous. She has committed so many blunders over the years but the notable ones have to be
1) her threats to the judiciary on the issue of judicial review applications and

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/law-and-order/9908528/Britains-top-judge-attacks-Theresa-Mays-criticism-of-judiciary.html

2) her poor handling of the case of Abu Qatada which cost your fellow taxpayers about £1.8 million.
http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-22909465

and some have said that she aspires to be the next PM of UK? I am sorry. She is no Margaret Thatcher. Dream on.

You then have many ministers who have been embroiled in the expenses scandal and continue to have their family members as their staff, on huge salary scales.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/mps-expenses/7534762/MPs-expenses-wives-and-family-members-can-still-be-employed.html

You also then have a Prime Minister's Question Time where it is a constant ruckus, when it's suppose to update the citizens on whats been happening or for them to see their MPs actually stand up and voice out the constituents problems etc
http://www.theguardian.com/politics/2014/feb/18/john-bercow-pmqs-letter-party-leaders

If that is not enough, you have a police commissioner who seems to only come out with a standard response every time something goes wrong. After awhile, all is forgotten and everything is back to square one. Btw, have you checked out his new ride?
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/law-and-order/12091995/Sir-Bernard-Hogan-Howe-criticised-for-taking-new-luxury-car-amid-police-cuts-row.html

You then have multiple police forces all over UK which are led by Police and Crime Commissioners who are party partisan. Their elections have proved that it was a waste of your taxpayers money to finance it and that the voting turnout was horrendously low.

Also, some of these Police and Crime Commissioners have paid and are continuing to pay huge salaries to their family members and friends on their staff and paying for other unnecessary things. My favourite has to be Ann Barnes, the PCC of Kent. Words cannot describe her incompetence. You'll just have to watch this for yourself.

And allllllllllllllll this wastage of money while reducing the number of police officers and cutting their salaries!?!?

This, coupled with open borders make UK a very unsafe place. Why, you may ask? How are you able to detect the bad guys when you allow practically anyone to enter into your country and at the same time, expect the police to do their job when front-line staff are being stretched?

Shouldn't the logical thing to do be to take control of your borders, stop giving away billions yearly to EU and millions in foreign aid to India (who btw have a very solid space shuttle and nuclear programme) and instead channel that money to paying higher wages to your doctors, nurses, police etc and employing more of them?

I could go on but I think I've made my point and that is this. If the upper beam is not straight, the lower beam will be crooked.

In order for UK to return to its former status, you must

have an intelligent PM (someone like Margaret Thatcher) and assisted by capable Cabinet Ministers.

leave the EU, reclaim control of your borders and decide independently who can work and live in the UK

channel money into your front line forces such as the police, doctors, nurses and teachers

with tightened and controlled borders, the police should comb each city, check people if they have valid papers or deport them immediately if they don't. suspicious people with link to terror groups must be detained, investigated, charged and then imprisoned indefinitely

be brave to launch police investigations into terror groups, regardless if they operate in the churches, temples, mosques or at the playgrounds. Hiding behind political correctness is a cowardly thing to do.

you must repair the reputation of the police force so that men in blue will regain the trust of the citizens

If these steps are followed, UK will not only a safe country but also a great country once again.

They make the dangerous journey to Europe so that they can find a job, and send money back to support their families

They did not 'abandon' them

Find a job? If that was the case they wouldn't be so arrogant and they wouldn't have the time to assault women.

I don't even know what to add since you have covered pretty much everything and were really sensible doing it. If only our politicians could pull their heads out of their arses and see how our countries are being butt-****ed by pretty much everyone who wishes to do so. Our economy fails, justice system fails, education fails, protection of the public fails- yet accepting those 'refugee' animals is deemed a good idea whilst totally ignoring opinion of the public and how badly it will affect our economy. Our leaders are too damn segregated in their posh mansions to even see how their countries are being turned into ruins- just look at Sweden, Norway, UK and especially Germany.
Throw these dossers out of Europe. They clearly have no respect for European culture and they can't integrate. Its got to the extent that a German Muslim group has asked the German government to ban alcohol from the country to help the migrants integrate and have blamed the rape victims for wearing "light clothing and perfume".

If someone doesn't kick these newcoming migrants out now then Europe is going to turn Islamic and every single country who have these migrants will have ended up changing their laws just to suit them.

I understand they are fleeing for better living conditions and I have every sympathy. But right now this situation is on an unprecedented scale and as you say, I believe that a lot more refugees will come out of North Africa than they currently are.

I know it's super hard to control stuff- but it's a crisis and the pressure will only be increasing from now on. So control is going to be so important. I would say yes to increasing controls.

Part of the problems is that some European states basically said 'we will welcome you' etc. so people just made the journey in the certainty that they would be able to find a better life and be accepted there. If it was made clear that nobody in Europe was going to accept any refugees unless the proper process had been adhered to then nobody would make the journey in the first place - or ok a few would but it would be nothing like the scale that we have seen over the past few months. You can see this playing out on a smaller scale with countries who have closed their borders in this respect experiencing none of the issues associated with uncontrolled acceptance of refugees. If we don't try to establish some control, the situation we are seeing in Germany will spread all over Europe and there will be a lot of problems.

Ikr. On the first page I highlighted the OP's bit where he said 'how many more' and replied 'posts are going to be made on this'.

The trouble is, this is a case where people are jumping on board with the sensationalist stuff that the media is presenting and worst of all they are genuinely assuming that this means ALL syrian refugees are rapists and terrorists. It's divisive and it only serves to generate increased cultural distrust of muslims/syrians as a whole which is a sure fire way to make them feel that actually, Isis is their best option.

Spoiler

I agree that sensationalist headlines tend to put 'we against them' and appeals to fear of migrants with a racist touch. Migration is a problem and offenders commit felonies/crimes in their host countries. But TSR headlines (lifted from Daily express and Mail) lack objectivity and don't provide facts, cause of problems or measures taken by German authorities.

TSR can just add a celeb section and topless young women to make site more popular like the Sun.
