Thanks for the insight.

A bit gutted as had hoped I may have had more hope of HO role. What's your role within HMRC? Are you recruitment or just helping with the HO campaign(s)?

I'm a caseworker and just helping on this.

You may very well be offered a HO job if you're unsuccessful at AC, but it's not a guarantee. Depends on staffing levels.
I might be jumping the gun a bit, but I was trawling through the 14/15 TSP pages. They seemed to find out the week of the 23rd March and the AC's finished in the same week as ours. I don't know if there is a delay with ours with the locations changing to mostly those that have been identified as Regional Centres in the future, as the AC attendees and places available seem to be a more favourable ratio for this year compared to last year, which would suggest that the review process shouldn't take any longer. Anyway this is the jumping the gun bit I was talking about, but I found it quite interesting as it's probably a question that will crop up when we start getting notified of our results, it relates to number of people who meet the criteria and the reserve list process:

"There is a pass score set for the assessment centres and 236 people achieved that score or better for 200 posts. Everybody is ranked by their score. The better you scored the more likely you were to get your preference. So, if the 1st 9 people put Bristol and there were 8 Bristol places the 9th person would be offered their 2nd preference. If the 9th person only had Bristol as a preference they would drop to the reserve pool. Should a Bristol place become available and as they are the next person on the list, it would be offered to them. Once all the acceptances have come in and say there are 20 places declined, there is then a process of checking down the merit list to see if they can go to someone who had that location as a higher preference. this creates a domino effect of places rippling down the list. There comes a point where there are unfilled places and these aren't on any remaining candidates preferences. These are then offered to all the remaining candidates. Those that are interested are then offered (in merit order) the places. Last year we had 250 for 200 places and everyone got an offer as we had some candidates take posts with other employers or defer as they were going on to do Masters degrees. It doesn't help to know your place in the reserve pool as you might be last in the merit order last but the only candidate with that location preference that becomes available. This whole process will run through until late August"
I'd love for you to be right, smallone, but presumably it will take longer this year due to them issuing results + feedback simultaneously, which they haven't done in the past

Ah I hadn't realised that was what was holding everything up...ah no I had some hope too!
Has anyone who applied for HO recruitment exercise received an email with forms attached?

kind of strange to be emailed forms to complete before even knowing whether you've got a interview.

I've received an email but with nothing directly attached, more just indicating that the documents have been uploaded to the job portal.

New information from Facebook - the results will be released "in batches and in no particular order".

This is going to be tense.

I think they've said this before eddiethered. I'm hoping we get news sooner than 11 April...that's just such a long and painful time to wait!

Ah no apologies...I just went through the page and you're right...this is a new piece of information. I don't know what that means though as they keep saying "around mid April" or "around 11 April" does that mean if it's in batches it will start then or should we have all heard by then and could they still be sending out stuff around the original date of 29 March? Ahhhh too many possibilities!
Didn't they post at the weekend that they are aiming to issue all the results by the 11th of April?

I guess they'll be issuing the results in batches between the week of the 28th and the week of the 11th.
that is going to be a very tense and unproductive two weeks! Was anyone else in Warwick on 18/19 Feb?
Think they've said random batches for Stage 1 & 2. Also read it in last years thread. I was so hopeful when I started reading your message and thought maybe the date got brought forward again.

4 weeks is a long time to wait and am hopeful we will hear before 11th April.
Sorry about that:-/ I just get overly excited any time anyone mentions anything on here as it takes my mind off for a split second.

I am thinking this is what will happen as well.

It was the update about new information but either way no need to apologise. TSR is keeping me going so I always look forward to new messages. Ha ha ha.
I am already so frustrated waiting. I'm going to have lost my mind by Easter, nevermind mid April!
Really they should just be considerate and give us something to drink for over Easter....either celebrating or commiserating!
Exactly. I'd happily wait for the feedback if it meant getting a yay or nay sooner.

On their Facebook they said today they're preparing stage three results for issue! Surely this wouldn't take four weeks! Maybe we will hear sooner than we think!
