Only 4% of women are taller than their partners!

Why is this the case? I've seen some various points but some more insight would be useful :smile:

Well for one, women tend to find taller guys more attractive. And on average men are taller than women anyway.

Also I doubt short guys that are insecure about their height are going to date someone taller than them.

because men are generally taller than women?

5' 9" for men 5'3" for women.

It's an evolutionary thing from when men would protect and hunt for their partners. Also, taller/bigger can mean stronger, which is ideal for genes being passed on to offspring. It all stems from when survival was much less likely.

I'd quite like a girl to be fairly close to my height, but I agree I don't think I could do much more than an inch because once she puts heels on I'd be tiny next to her.
